Use
The use of urea is very versatile, as it is suitable for both base fertilization and top dressing, through broadcasting, fertigation, and application via irrigation water.

When applied to the soil, it is first converted into ammonium nitrogen and then into nitrate nitrogen, providing immediate and medium-term nutrition for plants.

However, to avoid losses from volatilization (ammonia), it is recommended to mix it into the soil or apply it before rainfall or irrigation.
